宮口式記憶術セミナー(英語)

都筑区 センター北 井上歯科クリニック 井上です。

今日は英語で・・・

A: Recently, my son and I went to a seminar by Kimitoshi Miyaguchi. He is a master of memorization.

B: I have never heard of him before. What is his background?

A: He is a graduate of Tokyo University, in the faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I was searching for a way to help my son study better. Then I stumbled upon his book.

B: So what is his technique?

A: He says that the human brain remembers patterns better than words. So, in order to study better, he encourages students to match their surroundings with the historical facts using pictures. In every picture, one can allocate up to 5 images at a time, in order to remember easier.

B: How does your son do it?

A: He walks to the school every day, so we used images that he passes by every day. On one side, he has to memorize Japanese history and the other side, World History. I think it is working because he usually averages at 70 points on his monthly history tests, but for the last test, he got full marks!

B: You must be so proud of him! Does he enjoy studying this way?

A: Yes, because this way, he studies more effectively, and has more time to do other things, like math and playing games!
